Cashier/Customer Service

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our grocery store, providing excellent customer service while managing transactions efficiently. Your ability to communicate effectively and engage with customers will play a crucial part in enhancing their shopping experience. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
• Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently, processing transactions.
• Provide product demonstrations to inform customers about new items or promotions.
• Upsell products by recommending complementary items based on customer preferences.
• Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to assist customers effectively.
• Supervise and train new cashiers on best practices in customer service and cash handling.
• Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.

Experience

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts to manage transactions accurately.
• Experience in sales techniques, including upselling and product demonstrations.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Proficiency in operating cash registers and handling cash transactions.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
