Responsibilities: As an Aquarium Specialist II, you'll be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining animal enrichment programs that meet the needs of our marine animals
- Maintaining food supplies and food inventory for the animals under your care
- Anticipating and meeting the physical and nutritional needs of our marine animals
- Ensuring the health and well-being of our marine animals through regular monitoring and maintenance
- Providing exceptional guest experiences through public presentations and educational programs
- Collaborating with other department members to ensure seamless operations
- Staying up-to-date on industry best practices and implementing new ideas and initiatives
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as an Open Water Diver or equivalent
- Previous experience in a large aquarium setting, preferably in a leadership or specialist role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
- A valid driver's license for the applicable state
