As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will work with advanced imaging equipment to produce high-quality ultrasound images for healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat medical conditions. Your expertise in capturing and analyzing sonographic images will be crucial in helping patients receive accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate ultrasound machines to capture high-quality images of internal organs and tissues
- Prepare patients for exams, explaining procedures and answering questions
- Position patients correctly to ensure accurate image capture
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret ultrasound results
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and exam results
Requirements & Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Current certification in specialty area (e.g., abdominal, obstetrics and gynecology)
- 1 years of experience in ultrasound technology, preferably in acute care setting
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
