What are the responsibilities and job description for the Application Support Engineer (EV/BEV/HEV) position at ALOIS Solutions?
Responsibilities:
Delivering technical support for world leading solutions in electric vehicle (EV) battery test, charging station test, and grid emulator applications. Our solutions span multiple disciplines which include high power electronics, battery charge/discharge, vehicle charge communications interfaces, test automation and control. The successful candidate will be a critical customer interface and must demonstrate a real passion for customer success. Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, excellent communication, and customer relationship management are key factors for success.
• Delivery of post sales customer technical support of products that support test of EV battery cells, modules and packs, as well as charging interfaces of EV, and electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE).
• Analysis, diagnose and resolution of customer issues in using supported products.
• Analysis and diagnosis of hardware and software failures (remotely or on-site as necessary).
• Employ case tracking tools to ensure that all customer issues are documented through to resolution and closure.
• Provide start-up assistance and customer trainings to ensure that system utilization and productivity are maximized.
• Be the voice of the customer providing clear reporting and feedback.
• Take best advantage from post sales interactions with customers to investigate and qualify further business opportunities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years relevant experience working in product development, customer support or other demanding technical capacity on electrical/electronic test solutions with experience of power electronics.
• Minimum 2-years experience in BEV/HEV battery test or BEV/HEV charging technologies.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills in an electronic test system environment.
