Client, a boutique Intellectual Property law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support attorneys and professionals in handling trademarks, copyrights, and domain name matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and send client correspondence and legal pleadings
- Maintain and organize client files
- Assist with filings before courts and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
- Handle docketing, billing, and conflict checks
- Coordinate meetings and conferences with clients and attorneys
- Provide administrative support and manage day-to-day office tasks
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of legal secretary experience (recent Intellectual Property experience required)
- Strong organizational, communication, and proofreading skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and legal docketing/billing software
- High school diploma or equivalent required
