We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Preparation Worker to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of food items, ensuring cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and supporting our catering and banquet services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, with a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food handling practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of various food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring all work areas are sanitized.
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling techniques at all times.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of banquet events, including food stations and dining areas.
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely service during catering events.
- Support inventory management by assisting in the storage of food supplies and ingredients.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role within a hotel, restaurant, or catering environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with culinary techniques, food handling practices, and sanitation standards is highly desirable.
- A background in hospitality or banquet services will be considered an asset.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
