About the Role
We’re looking for an unpaid intern to join our Full-Stack Engineering team in our Scottsdale, Arizona office. This role is an excellent opportunity for aspiring engineers to gain hands-on experience working in a fast-paced SaaS startup environment. As part of our team, you will contribute to our applications, develop features, and collaborate with our engineers to improve our product suite.
For this position, you should have experience or a strong interest in developing CRM, ERP, or other relevant software. You will work on interfaces (both front and back) that support various business activities for our users, develop APIs that power these interfaces, and enhance our CRM functionality.

Responsibilities
This role empowers you to thrive in a creative, fast-paced engineering environment focused on delivering cutting-edge features and repurposing existing ones. As an Aloware intern, you will work closely with our engineering team and contribute to our code base within a designated product pod. Your growth path includes learning from experienced engineers, working on real-world projects, and gaining valuable industry experience.
Coding and Development:
- Assist in developing and delivering complete user stories or bug fixes as outlined by PMs/Product Owners.
- Write clean, efficient, testable, and maintainable code tailored to each user story.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct comprehensive unit testing to ensure code quality.
- Ensure each piece of code is thoroughly tested to maintain high standards.
Peer Interaction and Code Review:
- Actively participate in peer code reviews to enhance code quality and learning.
- Provide support and assistance to other team members, especially in areas of expertise.
- Help others with questions, issues, and challenges, promoting a team-oriented environment.
Documentation:
- Write and maintain technical documentation.
- Inform about new or updated dependencies, create deployment manuals, and produce instructional videos for new tasks.
Learning and Growth:
- Gain experience in problem-solving and technical development.
- Work under the leadership of our CTO/co-founder.
- Develop hands-on skills with VueJS, PHP, MySQL, AWS, and API integrations.
- Receive mentorship and training to build a strong foundation for a career in software engineering.
About You:
- Strong interest in full-stack development with experience in VueJS, PHP, MySQL, and AWS.
- Familiarity with integrating and implementing platforms through REST APIs (experience with CPaaS providers like Twilio, major CRMs like HubSpot, Zendesk, Salesforce, or billing providers like Chargebee, Stripe is a plus).
- Basic experience or coursework related to APIs, security, logging, and modifying requests and responses.
- Demonstrated experience working with VueJS or React is a plus.
- Interest in telecommunications, VOIP, digital messaging, chatbots, CRM, ticketing, helpdesk, or call center software is advantageous.
