As a Technical Process Intern, you will play a crucial role in improving the day-to-day operations of our Resins manufacturing facility and its processes. Your attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills will be utilized to participate, work and support the Technical and Operation groups. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain firsthand experience and exposure to safety, project management, process improvements, cost savings in an industrial environment.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
The student selected as the Technical Process Intern will work at our CC - Cedar Creek Site located in Fayetteville, NC. Interns are reportable to their assigned team's supervisor and will directly be exposed to various aspects of Technical / Operations for Chemical Manufacturing.
Students will have the opportunity to collaborate cross functionally with other personnel and teams at their intern site to accomplish their assigned projects and tasks including :
- Assist with the day-to-day tactical functions that directly support the Technical team at your site.
- Responsible for leading improvement projects such as new product development, process improvement, capacity and debottlenecking studies.
- Closely collaborate with Technical, Business and Engineering personnel to develop and implement solutions to complex product, process and equipment problems
- Provide technical support to various manufacturing and operations groups and project management and technical support for capital projects.
- Successful execution of job responsibilities requires the ability to operate independently and effectively utilize initiative, attention to detail, discretion, and confidentiality.
Skills & Qualifications
Majoring in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
