What are the responsibilities and job description for the SEASONAL STARTING EARLY JUNE 2025* Lead Aquatics Attendant position at Alpen Bluffs Outdoor Resort?
POSITION OVERVIEW
Aquatic Attendants monitor and regulate the conduct of participants using the Wibit system by promoting water safety, enforcing Wibit rules, and monitoring Wibit participants. Aquatic Attendants will assist with emergency situations and report any incidents or emergencies immediately to the manager on duty. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises all Aquatic Attendants.
- Creates Schedule.
- Ensure all logs are completed and up to date.
- Maintains all necessary records determined by the manager.
- Complete required drills and skills assessments.
- Ensures time punches for all team members are accurate
- Supervise and observe swimmers at all times to ensure their safety.
- Monitor and regulate the conduct of participants using the Wibit system.
- Perform safety orientation and distribute life vests.
- Administers first aid to minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises of swimmers.
- Maintains amenities and cleanliness of bathhouse, bathrooms and showers.
- Enforces the rules of conduct.
- Performs pond/beach maintenance to include checking Wibit and other furniture condition
- Check the first aid supplies and report needed items to management in a timely fashion.
- Organizes and monitors Wibit at all times.
- Skims debris from the surface to prepare the pond for daily use.
- Cleans up and organizes pond and beach area at the end of the day.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18 years old and obtain Lifeguard Waterfront certification, CPR, First Aid, and AED through an accredited program.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of lifeguarding experience.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Demonstrate Physical Fitness by:
- Fitness Test
- Swim Test
- Board Paddle Test
- Run Test
- Knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and applicable health codes
- Basic reading, writing and math skills and the ability to use computer applications.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to assess a situation, use quick and reasonable judgment and resolve problems diplomatically.
- Exceptional customer service and communications skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays on a regular basis.
- Basic reading, writing and math skills and the ability to use computer applications.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to assess a situation, use quick and reasonable judgment and resolve problems diplomatically.
- Exceptional customer service and communications skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays on a regular basis.
