Sr. Cloud Full Stack Engineer | Remote | Contract, W2

Our direct client a large multi-national American hotels chain is seeking to hire for the position of Sr. Cloud Full Stack Engineer.

Job Title: Sr. Cloud Full Stack Engineer
Location: 100% Remote | work central time
Duration: 6 months possible long term
Pay rate: $70/HR W2 (negotiable)

Work on client s proprietary customer personalization engine (HPE).Core components of the HPE include:

• Centralized system to manage the offer content
• Enterprise business rules engine
• AI/ML powered recommendations engine - with centralized modeling and scoring, utilizing full breadth of consumer data.
• Campaign & journey management capabilities.
• Offer management system;
• Omni-channel distribution enablement - via a robust API layer
• Core orchestration layer - that tie everything together built fully on cloud native serverless infrastructure.

This role will assist in solutioning, design, architecture, development, delivery, and operations of the centralized system to manage offer content partnering with the team of talented full-stack software engineers. It will partner closely with peer leadership in IT and Digital to ensure alignment on architecture/integration strategies, and with leadership in marketing to align on integration priorities to activate personalized guest experiences across client s digital ecosystem.

Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

• Provide hands-on technical leadership throughout the development life cycle and focus
  on delivery of quality solutions.
• Mentor peer engineering team members on technical decision making, code reviews and
  enforcing engineering practices and standards.
• Lead technical discussions and build consensus among engineers.
• Work with cloud engineering teams to design and develop cloud native services.
• Manage strong partnerships with technologies suppliers; understand and advise on their
  roadmaps and product evolution.
• Maintain application DevOps processes and deployment pipelines to implement and
  support application and feature releases.
• Assist in system migration to the cloud supporting refactoring legacy system to
  modernize the application or integration services to leverage cloud native services and
  solutions.
• Build a diverse and inclusive team and culture within the organization and demonstrate a
  commitment to client s all core values.

Experience:

• 5 years experience architecting and developing full stack solutions and utilizing software
  build and deployment tools (Jenkins, Git, GitLab, CI/CD).
• 5 years application and backend API development experience (object-oriented, Java, Go,
  TypeScript/JavaScript).
• 5 years web application development experience (HTML, CSS, React, Node.js,
  TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Strong understanding of cloud serverless solutions (AWSS3, CloudFront, API Gateway,
  Lambda, SQS, EventBridge).
• Experience working with cloud database services (RDS, DynamoDB, DocumentDB).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS/ECS/Fargate).
• Experience with cloud build and deployment tools (Serverless, AWS SAM, GitLab).
• Experience working with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and cloud deployment languages
  (Serverless, CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform).
• Base understanding of cloud services and infrastructure (VPC, EC2, S3, EBS, EFS, IAM,
  CW).
• Agile development and deployment experience (JIRA, CI/CD).
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, engineering, management information systems,
  or equivalent education.
• Candidates with strong experience in lieu of a formal degree are encouraged to apply.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• AWS Certification (AWS Solution Architect Associate, AWS Developer, AWS DevOps)
  Other cloud certifications are nice to have (Google Cloud Platform, Azure)
