Position Summary
As the Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care services to our clients. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance programs, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance with state regulations and standards. Your expertise in quality management, attention to detail, and strong communication skills will contribute to the overall success of our organization.
Essential Duties:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance program for our hospice care services, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Create and maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, and documentation, including quality manuals, guidelines, and protocols.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of client care records, employee qualifications, and training documentation to ensure adherence to established quality standards.
- Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to enhance the quality of care and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on quality standards, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate client satisfaction through surveys, feedback, and direct communication, and take necessary actions to address any concerns or issues.
- Investigate and resolve any quality-related incidents or complaints, ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in quality assurance for homecare services, and integrate this knowledge into the organization’s quality management system.
- Prepare regular reports on quality assurance activities, including findings, trends, and recommendations for improvement, and present them to the management team.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies and accreditation bodies, to maintain state compliance with relevant standards and requirements.
- Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement throughout the organization, promoting accountability, transparency, and a strong commitment to client satisfaction.
- Understanding and Leading QAPI quarterly meetings.
- Manage the Quality Assurance Database.
- Manage Quality Assurance compliance schedule and electronic audit files.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competences:
- Ability to evaluate and monitor corrective actions derived from a compliance audit.
- Ability to facilitate and provide guidance related to state audits.
- Ability to identify issues and drive improvement for the QA team to ensure efficient regulatory compliance and reduce risk.
- Ability to participate in regulatory compliance readiness activities and support.
- Strong understanding of quality management principles and methodologies, including process improvement, risk management, and root cause analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to exercise discretion and professionalism when overseeing highly confidential and sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience.

Pay: $100.00 per hour
