Plant Engineer
As Plant Engineer, you’ll oversee all engineering, maintenance, and project activity for the plant. You’ll lead a team through supervisors and managers to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations. This includes managing equipment, building systems, utilities, and capital projects, while keeping an eye on cost, uptime, and long-term improvements.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the planning and execution of maintenance, equipment installation, and facility upgrades
- Set goals for maintenance performance and coach teams to meet them
- Manage vendors, negotiate contracts, and support capital project planning
- Recommend and implement improvements to systems and processes that boost efficiency and lower costs
- Provide technical support to production teams, helping solve equipment issues and reduce downtime
- Monitor utility usage and implement ways to reduce waste and cost
- Maintain documentation for maintenance, purchasing, and regulatory compliance
- Support safety and compliance efforts across the plant
- Develop and manage performance for team members at all levels
What You Bring:
- 5–10 years of engineering or maintenance leadership in a manufacturing environment
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills
- Experience with equipment layouts, blueprints, and capital projects
- Working knowledge of safety and environmental standards
- Skilled at motivating teams and communicating across departments
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Work Environment:
This is an on-site role in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment that requires physical activity, including lifting and standing for long periods.
