Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee our construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Construction Supervisor will be responsible for managing teams, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily keep construction areas & storage areas clean, free of debris and inventory organized
- Responsible for the oversight of the Construction Crew
- Meet with crew, distribute Work Orders/projects daily. Obtain signatures and turn in to supervisor
- Provide scheduled maintenance for all mechanical system at both campus
- Inventory weekly and submit requisitions to supervisor for approval
- Check supply shed daily for deliveries and put parts away
- Assist with large material deliveries as needed for construction
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Communicate with other departments as needed
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervisors a staff of 4-6 personnel. Works to encourage teamwork and group coordination
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Proficient in using the Internet to research information, as well as MS Outlook; MS Excel and MS Word
- Good verbal, written skills
- Ability to work on a team, as well as unsupervised
- Extensive knowledge of established construction and maintenance practices, procedures and techniques as well as applicable local, state and federal building codes
- Familiarity with a wide range of equipment and tools and proficiency in skilled construction, maintenance and repair tasks
- Managerial experience in construction and maintenance
- Strong communication skills; thorough and attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline-oriented
- Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors and employees at all levels of the organization
EDUCATION:
Certification in HVAC and/or building technology, or three (3) to five (5) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
South Carolina Driver’s License or equivalent
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to read and write, and interpret documents including task descriptions, standard operating procedures, and other instructions.
REASONING ABILITY:
Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
