What do we require of you?
- At least 1-2 years of medical records and intake experience, in a home health and/or hospice agency
- Must be able to work Mon - Fri, 8:30 am to 5 pm PST
- Experience with Home Care Home Base preferred
- Demonstrate cooperation and provide excellent customer service
- Ability to multi-task and stay on task in a fast-paced office
- Excellent team-oriented, verbal, and written communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all daily clinical records functions including physician communication documents to and from the clinicians and physicians
- Maintains clinical record system in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Protects privacy and confidentiality of patient and agency information
- Understands and adheres to HIPAA regulations and compliance standards
- Monitors unsigned and overdue physician orders and follows up with requests for signatures
- Update all information in Homecare Homebase (EMR)
- Track, upload, and ensure proper work flow is followed for consent forms, lab orders, etc.
- Process all incoming referrals checking for completion and accuracy
- Verify insurance coverage and diagnosis codes
- Communicates effectively and professionally regarding workflow requirements
- Help with office clerical duties, answering phones, billing, scheduling, and other duties as assigned
