We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Anti-aging and Medical Clinic to diagnose and treat medical conditions particularly skills at Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT), and Peptide Therapy. As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant you’ll be working closely with the Medical Director to ensure the best patient care possible. The job description includes conducting physical examinations, interpreting lab tests and overseeing patients’ health via telehealth and will REQUIRE TO COMMUTE at the clinic for in-person visits. This is a part time position and will need to work on Saturdays when called upon. You’ll be both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives. You should have experience in one of the following specialties: acute care, family medicine, internal medicine, women’s health, functional medicine, and/or anti-aging medicine. Technology savvy and at least 3 years of clinical experience with primary care are vital. As a medical provider, you’ll be partnering up with the Medical Director, so you should have a team spirit, an open mind, and a positive attitude. Multi-tasking with different apps, problem-solving skills, and communication ability are important. Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in California and ready to go
- Unrestricted DEA license
- At least 3 years of outpatient clinical experience
- Clinical experience in Anti-Aging Medicine & Hormone Therapy with familiarity with BHRT, TRT, and Peptide Therapy
- Be able to commute to Alhambra/Pasadena area to see patients in-person
- Able to get credentialed with major insurance companies and Medicare
Responsibilities
- Build trust and rapport with staff and patients
- Examine patients and their medical records mainly via telehealth
- Order and study diagnostic tests (blood, urine, saliva, X-rays, etc.)
- Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
- Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
- Prescribe medications including controlled substances and compounding medications
- Maintain accurate records and schedules
- Understand PPO commercial insurance and medicare benefits and coverage
- Inform patients about their health conditions and preventative care
- Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention
- Oversee patients’ overall health
- Promote best health practices in both virtual and clinic settings
- Able to do evening shifts up to 6pm on weekdays and occasional Saturday shifts via video visits
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Professional Spanish fluency is a plus
- Technology savvy and great with computers/apps
- Nutrition, fitness, and experience with using BHRT, TRT, and Peptide Therapy
- Anti-aging and regenerative medicine (A4M membership) desired
- Proven experience as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a clinic and outpatient setting
- Expertise in primary care, acute care, and women's health
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations in California
- Team spirit with a positive attitude
- Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience
- Business background is a bonus
Work Remotely
- Yes to some extend via telehealth but require that you commute to our Alhambra/Pasadena clinic location when called upon
