Key Responsibilities

Support the Driller in all aspects of water well drilling, including assisting with rigging, lifting, and general labor.

Unload materials and tools from trucks, using proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.

Assist in setting up rigs and equipment for daily operations, ensuring everything is positioned and ready for use.

Help connect and disconnect drill pipes, ensuring smooth and efficient operations when lowering or raising the drill pipe.

Perform manual labor to assemble and disassemble equipment used in the drilling process.

Assist with the ongoing maintenance of drilling equipment and trucks, including greasing, fueling, and conducting pre-trip inspections.

Collect drill cuttings as directed by the Driller to support drilling operations.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including jobsite areas, trucks, and equipment.

Assist with the cleanup of mud pits and drains to ensure a safe and tidy worksite.

Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Driller or other team members.

Qualifications

A minimum of 1 year of construction experience preferred.

Valid, unexpired driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.

Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, walk, and climb on and off equipment.

Ability to climb to various heights safely and without hesitation.

Skills :

Experience using hand tools and operating mechanical equipment.

Dependable, with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines and safety protocols.

Problem-solving skills, able to identify and address issues quickly.

Effective time management and organizational skills to complete tasks efficiently.

Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to work with other team members.

Ability to handle ambiguity and make decisions based on limited information.

Strong commitment to integrity, ethics, and confidentiality in the workplace.

Focused on achieving results while maintaining a safe working environment.

The compensation will vary based on experience ranging between $25 - $30 per hour.
