We are currently seeking a Equipment and Asset Logistics Specialist who will be responsible for managing and coordinating the distribution of equipment to ensure the timely and efficient operation of projects. This role requires independent judgment and discretion in asset management, operational planning, and policy implementation, directly contributing to the management or general business operations of Alpha Inc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the scheduling and dispatching of equipment to job sites, ensuring alignment with project timelines and company goals.
- Develop and implement policies for equipment utilization, asset tracking, and maintenance schedules, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment in evaluating equipment needs, prioritizing resource allocation, and resolving logistical conflicts.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to create operational strategies and provide recommendations on equipment investments and usage.
- Coordinate with project managers to assess and plan long-term equipment requirements, minimizing costs and improving project outcomes.
- Implement asset tracking systems and ensure accurate real-time monitoring of equipment location, usage, and condition.
- Review budgets related to equipment rentals, transportation, and maintenance, ensuring adherence to financial goals.
- Conduct analyses of asset utilization data to inform operational improvements and provide insights to leadership.
- Formulate and interpret equipment-related policies and operating practices to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Handle escalated issues with equipment breakdowns or delays, finding innovative solutions that minimize project disruptions.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to equipment and asset management, advising on operational enhancements.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 Years of Experience in equipment logistics, asset tracking, or operations management, with a focus on construction or heavy equipment industries.
- Proven ability to independently analyze complex operational scenarios, develop solutions, and implement policies.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in asset tracking systems, GPS technology, and equipment management software.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance processes and safety regulations.
Compensation: $80,000 - $105,000 annually, based on experience.
