Alpha Industrial Waste Services is in search of an experienced, highly motivated and results-driven Sales Account Manager to join our team remotely, or out of our Cambridge, OH location.
As a Sales Account Manager at Alpha Industrial Waste Services, you will play a central role in driving our strategic business growth while upholding our commitment to sustainable waste management solutions. In this position you will serve as both a strategic advisor and a proactive sales expert, responsible for creating and nurturing long-term client relationships, expanding market presence, and achieving ambitious revenue targets across diverse sectors.
Please note: this position requires a strong affinity for science. Candidates must be able to identify and categorize chemicals based on their chemical nature to determine proper reuse, recycle, or disposal methods. Sources for chemical categorization include field testing and observations, laboratory analysis, labels, and Material Safety data sheets.

What You’ll Do
- Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and target new business opportunities within designated territories.
- Client Engagement: Develop and nurture relationships with potential and existing customers to understand their waste management needs.
- Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to showcase our services.
- Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate contracts and close deals while ensuring customer satisfaction and company profitability.
- Document Preparation: Preparation of job paperwork including waste profiles, shipping paperwork, and shipment inventory spreadsheets
- Sampling & Analysis: Assist with material sampling and analysis as required.
- Onsite Services: Occasional site work including chemical identification and supervision to ensure safe work practices. Experience with lab-packs is a plus.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to provide feedback for strategic planning.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress using CRM software.
- Collaboration: Proactively communicate with all participants for ongoing jobs (dispatchers, drivers, sales people, destination facility) to keep them informed and respond to any changes.
- Responsive: Respond to rapidly changing project requirements in a timely manner including occasional after hours or weekend work
- Safety: Perform all duties with a safety state of mind. Adhere to all government and regulatory as well as internal company safety and compliance policies and procedures
- Possess Industry Knowledge: Including waste codes, RCRA, TSCA and analytical interpretations of chemical or waste streams.

Essential Skills/Abilities:
- Flexible to work outside traditional hours to accomplish family office goals
- Tech Savvy (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, QuickBooks, Canva, Project Management tools like Monday.com)
- Basic understanding of RCRA and other waste disposal regulations a plus
- CRM Experience
- OSHA 40, Hazmat Training a plus
- CHMM Designation, a plus
Education and Experience:
- High School or equivalent
- 5 Years of experience as a Sales Account Manager or similar role in the Environmental, Waste Management, Chemical or related industry
Work Location:
- Hybrid – Remote & Onsite – Cambridge, OH
Travel Required:
- Travel Required up to 50% of the time
