What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flight Coordinator position at Alpha Jet Charter?
Alpha Jet Charter is looking to hire an energetic and focused individual to join our existing team of Flight Coordinators as we grow during Q1 2025!
KEY ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule and release aircraft based on client requests
- Communicate with pilots, clients, and brokers regarding trip details and changes
- Answer a high volume of incoming phone calls and email requests
- Quote, source, confirm, and input flight reservations and ancillary service requirements into scheduling applications
- Manage all facets of trip planning, follow-up, and flight following
- Maintain positive relationships with pilots, clients, brokers, and outside operators/vendors
- Facilitate catering and ground transportation arrangements for clients as needed
- Work closely with other Flight Coordinators to ensure service standards are being met, proactively looking to spot any issues that could hinder service delivery
- Adhere to applicable TSA requirements and act as a Ground Security Coordinator for charter flights
- Must be available to provide on-call availability and after-hours/weekend support as required, which will be scheduled in advance
- Flexibility and willingness to perform duties like aircraft restocking, transportation of aircraft stock (within the Phoenix area), and light office tidying when required
REQUIRED SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High school diploma required
- Must possess excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- Must have strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, MAC OS preferred, etc.)
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and possess the ability to multi-task under the pressure of deadlines
- Able to analyze aircraft performance using charts and tables
- Must be able to understand applicable Federal Aviation Regulations pertaining to crew duty time / rest time, maintenance, airworthiness, over-water operations, and more
- Must be a team player, have great speaking skills, and have the desire to work cross-departmentally
HOW YOU'LL STAND OUT:
- You have 1-3 years of work experience in an aviation-related field, and/or a similar education background
- You have an existing understanding of FAA Part 91 and Part 135 regulations
- You're looking for a long-term position
OTHER THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW WHILE APPLYING:
- Starting salary is $60,000 USD per year, with additional incentives available
- Applicants MUST be able to pass a pre-employment DOT 5-panel drug screening and background check, with consent to be added to a quarterly random drug screening pool
- Initial probationary period of 120 days. Probationary review will be conducted no later than 120 days after start of employment
