We are actively seeking a skilled Controls Software Engineer with specialized expertise in Siemens PLC systems and a strong background in programming various motion control hardware, including VFDs and servo motors. This role involves developing and designing software to optimize complex motion control systems, irrespective of the specific hardware brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and debug software for motion control systems using Siemens PLC technologies, ensuring seamless integration with various motion control hardware such as VFDs and servos.
- Implement standardized code function blocks and HMI component templates tailored for diverse motion control applications.
- Design intuitive HMI interfaces that facilitate easy and effective operation of complex motion systems, meeting broad customer specifications.
- Collaborate closely with Electrical Design teams to ensure holistic system integration encompassing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
- Lead rigorous testing and debugging phases focused on motion control functionalities, establishing benchmarks for performance and reliability.
- Offer high-level troubleshooting and support, particularly adept at resolving issues related to the startup and operational functionality of motion control systems.
- Guide and assist team members, enhancing collective proficiency in motion control programming and Siemens PLC applications.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in either Siemens PLC systems, particularly proficient with TIA Portal.
- Experience in programming and configuring VFDs and servo motors, with a strong understanding of their application in motion control systems.
- Expertise in PC-based HMI applications like WinCC RT, with an emphasis on their use in motion control setups.
- Comprehensive programming skills in C, C , and C#, supported by practical experience with Visual Studio and VBA.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and robust conceptual understanding of motion control engineering.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of leading projects and interfacing effectively with clients and team members.
