Position Overview
- Analyze engineering drawings to define part configuration and determine the type and sequence of machine operations.
- Develop programs for machining parts, tools, or sheet metal on numerically controlled (NC) machine tools.
- Select appropriate cutters based on factors such as speeds, types of cutters, feeds, and control system limitations.
- Choose program routines for the most efficient calculation of dimensional and machining requirements.
- Test and modify existing part programs to accommodate engineering changes or program improvements.
- Excludes CNC Machine Operators.
