What are the responsibilities and job description for the On-Air Talent/Board Operator (Part Time) position at Alpha Media?
Alpha Media has a part-time On-Air Talent/Board Operator position available in our Redwood Falls, Minnesota, market. This position will be 10 to 15 hours weekly for our KLGR (AM & FM) stations. Duties include on-air work, writing news, board operation, and ad copy. In other words, all aspects of local broadcasting. This position may include other duties, and the candidate must be available upon request, Monday through Sunday. Computer skills are a must.
Responsibilities for this position may include:
- On-air work as needed, including weekends and nights.
- Recording & editing ads for commercial clients.
- Facebook & Twitter posting as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Board operation.
Requirements of this position include the following:
- Must be available upon request Monday through Sunday.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task and handle interruptions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing culture and environment.
- Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must possess strong computer skills.
Preference may be given to candidates who meet the above requirements plus the following:
- Experience working with WordPress, Facebook, and Twitter.
