Position Summary:
The Technical Sales, Associate Manager will spearhead business growth initiatives across AMG’s diverse business segments. This high-impact role requires working closely with AMG leadership, operating site leaders, and cross-functional teams to identify, develop, and manage business opportunities for both new and existing customers. You’ll play a vital role in nurturing new partnerships across all AMG locations. This position is flexible on location and can be based out of any of AMG’s facilities with the potential for a hybrid setup.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and develop new account opportunities; cultivate existing customer relationships.
- Project Leadership: Serve as a project manager, technical advisor, and product advocate, driving technical engagement at all stages of the sales cycle.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong relationships with customers and manufacturing partners, acting as a trusted liaison.
- Design & Specification Support: Collaborate closely with customers to support design and specification needs, ensuring seamless project progression.
- Proposal & Quotation: Create detailed cost proposals, review customer drawings, and accurately capture specifications to meet customer expectations. In coordination with Cost Estimators and other stakeholders, manages the proposal & quotation process.
- Business Development Pipeline: Manages and analyzes the pipeline data
- Quality Assurance: Uphold AMG’s high-quality standards, quickly addressing and resolving any issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to AMG’s quality management system, promoting ethical practices, customer satisfaction, and product compliance.
Position Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline; or equivalent technical experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a relevant field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints. Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes.
- Core Competencies: Strong communication skills, ability to take initiative, attention to detail, and excellent multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
- Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. Epicor (ERP) a plus.
- Travel: Up to 30% travel is expected to build and maintain customer relationships.
· Legal Requirement: Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (Green Card holder) to comply with ITAR regulations and access controlled technical data.
