Job Title: Tech Support Representative
Job Type: Long Term Contract
Location: Austin, Texas ( Hybrid )
Note: Onetime onsite meet and greet required upon joining.
4 -week training will be fully onsite.
About the Role: We’re looking for a friendly and tech-savvy individual to join our team as a Tech Support Specialist. In this role, you'll spend most of your time helping customers over the phone, guiding them through troubleshooting steps and resolving technical issues related to our products or services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answering calls: Handle inbound customer calls and address technical issues or questions in a clear, helpful, and friendly manner.
- Tech troubleshooting: Assist customers in identifying and solving basic to moderate technical problems with our products or services (like software issues, device setup, connectivity problems, etc.).
- Provide solutions: Offer step-by-step instructions to help customers resolve their issues, and if needed, escalate more complex problems to higher-level support teams.
- Document issues: Keep accurate records of all customer interactions, including the nature of the problem and the solution provided.
- Follow up: Call customers when necessary to ensure their issues are fully resolved and they’re satisfied with the solution.
- Stay updated: Learn about new product updates and features so you can provide the best possible support.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Communication skills: Ability to explain technical issues in simple terms to customers, and listen to their concerns.
- Basic technical knowledge: Comfortable with common tech issues (e.g., software errors, internet connectivity, troubleshooting devices).
- Patience & empathy: Ability to stay calm and friendly even in stressful situations.
- Problem-solving: Ability to think on your feet and find solutions quickly.
- Experience: Previous experience in customer service or tech support is a plus, but not required.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if needed.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
