2nd shift 2 : 30pm-11pm (Weekends Required)
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care to individuals with developmental disabilities in accordance with sections 4723.01 to 4723.40 of the Ohio Revised Code. The DD LPN works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), licensed Physician, Dentist, Podiatrist, or Optometrist and is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care and support.
Key Responsibilities :
- Administer practical nursing care, including treatments, medication administration (controlled and non-controlled), Enteral feedings, wound care, and vital statistics monitoring.
- Observe, document, and report patient conditions, taking appropriate actions as needed.
- Provide thorough handoff reports to RNs and Physicians, ensuring continuity of care.
- Educate patients and caregivers on health-related matters.
- Respond to emergencies, provide first aid, perform CPR, and utilize AED as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including medication administration logs and incident forms.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and manage medical supplies and equipment.
- Assist in orienting and training direct support staff in providing basic care.
- Attend medical appointments and interdisciplinary team meetings as required.
