We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to provide patient care and support justice involved individuals. The ideal candidate will assist in the examination, treatment, and care of patients under the supervision of a physician or nurse supervisor, ensuring professionalism, respect, and adherence to patient privacy.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with patient care tasks, including obtaining vital signs, EKGs, lab tests, and recording patient data.
- Prepare patients, equipment, and supplies for procedures as directed by the medical team.
- Support patients and their families while promptly reporting changes in patient status to the charge nurse.
- Maintain and prepare examination rooms by cleaning, disinfecting, and replenishing supplies.
- Clean assigned areas and ensure supplies and equipment are stocked and functional.
- Adhere to patient privacy rights, confidentiality, and HIPAA regulations.
- Follow all facility guidelines and policies related to patient care.
