Job Description
The Financial Analyst supports financial operations and grant management within the Recovery Division, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Reporting to the Mitigation & Recovery Branch Director, this role oversees financial aspects of disaster recovery programs, including Individual Assistance (IA), Hazard Mitigation (HM), Public Assistance (PA) and the State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF).
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with grant applications, financial reporting, and compliance monitoring.
- Process and track reimbursements and project obligations for recovery programs.
- Coordinate expenditure reporting, budget reconcilation and proocurement activities.
- Ensure financial compliance with FEMA, state and federal regulations.
- Support internal and external audits and assist with MOUs and legal agreements.
- Manage PeopleSoft Financials, eCivis reporting, and reporting and state granting tracking.
- Serve on-call during disaster events, assisting with damage assessments and emergeny operations.
Qualifications :
This position requires flexibility during disaster events, including potential travel and extended hours.
