Alpha Research & Technology, Inc. located in El Dorado Hills, CA, designs and manufactures ruggedized, cutting-edge and fully integrated airborne and airborne-related Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C41SR) mission systems.
The Company is currently seeking an experienced Electronics Repair Technician for our Repair department responsible for the following:
- Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical issues on customer returned computer-related systems and other electronic enclosures.
- Conducts formal failure analysis on all products; analyzes and interprets data and properly documents findings in customer reports.
- Configures testing apparatus or devices and circuitry in order to perform electrical testing per standard test procedures. Verifies system performance by completing operational tests.
- Interfaces with internal Engineering department to resolve anomalies or the escalation of non-conformances while diagnosing products.
- Prepares quotes of estimates to repair product.
- Provides status reports on assigned repairs.
- Works collaboratively with other departments in order to meet repair deadlines per customer contracts and internal quality standards.
- Follows all Company safety and production procedures and regulations and maintains a clean and orderly workstation.Education, Experience and Skills
- Associates degree in Electronics or Engineering Technology or equivalent required. Minimum of 3 to 5 years prior experience in troubleshooting and repair of electronics/computer systems in a manufacturing environment required. Understanding of aerospace industry manufacturing techniques (soldering, crimping, and electro-mechanical assembly) preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics.
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, mathematics, testing and troubleshooting electrical systems down to component level.
- Prior experience using digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, frequency generators and power supplies.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards.
- Strong time management, analytical and problem solving skills as well as effective communication skills, written and verbal, required.
- Knowledge of computer systems such as Microsoft Office and ERP systems (JobScope preferred).
- US Citizenship is required; government security clearance is desired, but not required.
Position Type: Full-time; 40 hours per week
Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday
