Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Office Assistant to support our financial operations and ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the office. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage bookkeeping tasks while maintaining an efficient and well-organized office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
- Record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Assist with tax filings
- Oversee general office operations and ensure the office is clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies
- Manage office inventory, order supplies, and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed
- Support onboarding of new staff with office setup and orientation
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and greet visitors professionally
- Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and assist with other administrative tasks
- Provide general support to the management team as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and office administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
