Summary
The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented PR professional with a talent for building and maintaining strong media relationships. In this role, you will craft compelling narratives, develop and execute strategic PR campaigns, and manage media outreach to ensure our message resonates with our target audiences.
Responsibilities
- Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key journalists, media outlets, and influencers across various platforms.
- Storytelling & Content Creation: Proactively pitch story ideas and secure media coverage that aligns with our objectives; write and edit press releases, media alerts, feature articles, and blog posts to effectively convey our brand message.
- Social Media Collaboration: Work closely with the social media team to develop and implement strategies that complement our PR efforts, including content creation, engagement monitoring, and response management.
- Relationship Building: Establish lucrative professional connections, particularly within the commercial and industrial sectors.
- Event Coordination: Assist in organizing and executing media events, press conferences, and other promotional activities, ensuring flawless execution and optimal media coverage.
- Campaign Development: Contribute to the creation, execution, and analysis of PR campaigns from initial brainstorming through to reporting.
- Recognition & Awards: Actively pursue industry awards and local recognition to further enhance our public image.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, communications, or media relations.
- Construction experience is preferred, with familiarity in the construction industry highly valued.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proven track record in media outreach and relationship building, with a solid understanding of social media platforms.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
