Alpha Structural, Inc. is a specialty engineering and construction firm with three Contractor Licenses for General Engineering (A), Concrete Specialty (C-8) and General Building Construction (B), and Civil and Structural Engineering licenses. Our firm provides in-house Structural and Civil Engineering, Drafting and Plan Development, and Permit Expediting to secure approval for our projects. Alpha Structural, Inc. has a full complement of experienced Project Managers and Project Supervisors, has thirty (30) heavily experienced in-house construction crews and a wide variety of specialty material suppliers and sub-contractors to complete any project we are tasked with.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly manage the Engineering, Permitting, and Production (Construction) departments.
- Ensure rapid, high-quality engineering and permit acquisition to support a robust construction pipeline.
- Utilize and enforce a suite of management tools (e.g., Job Scheduling Sheets, Budget Control Forms, Job Tracking Charts, and Value of Job Reports) to monitor and drive project performance.
- Oversee job turnovers and ensure seamless transition from planning to execution.
- Coordinate with Job Supervisors, Senior Engineers, and Field Crews to address engineering challenges and resolve construction issues promptly.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients from initial project handoff through project completion.
- Work closely with the Sales Division to review and transition new projects, ensuring that the Job Turnover Policy is rigorously applied.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and address concerns during both the engineering and construction phases.
- Directly supervise a multidisciplinary team including Engineers, Drafters, Permit Expediters, Job Supervisors, and Foremen.
- Oversee the evaluation, rewards, and disciplinary measures for Division 4 personnel, in coordination with Human Resources.
- Ensure all administrative tools and policies are strictly followed to support production efficiency and accountability.
- Conduct regular field visits, inspections, and client meetings to uphold Alpha Structural’s high standards of workmanship, safety, and quality.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as plan submission rates, permit acquisition, construction income, and budget compliance.
- Manage tool and equipment inventories and coordinate fleet management systems to optimize resource utilization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years in in-field construction, specifically in Carpentry, Structural Framing, or Concrete.
- Proven track record in roles such as Foreman, Project Supervisor, and Project Manager.
- Prior experience in architectural or engineering design is essential.
- Demonstrated executive leadership and management skills in a high-performance production environment.
- Fully proficient in reading and interpreting structural and architectural plans.
- Familiarity with a range of management tools including condition formulas, daily/weekly battle plans, and various reporting systems (e.g., OnTrack!, E-Fleet, GeoTab, WEX).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire, direct, and hold team members accountable.
MUST BE PHYSICALLY ABLE TO FULLY INSPECT SINGLE-FAMILY HOMES, COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS, HIGH-RISE BUILDINGS AND SLOPES OR CHALLENGING TERRAIN. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE CRAWLING UNDER BUILDINGS, CRAWLING IN TIGHT CRAWLSPACES AND TIGHT ACCESS AREAS, BASEMENT ACCESS, CLIMBING STAIRS AND LADDERS, WALKING UP AND DOWN HILLSIDE AREAS AND OR SLOPES.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
