Essential Job Functions – Responsibilities
- Perform all functions in a safe manner adhering to established policies and procedures
- Projects and assignments are typically low complexity where numerous precedents exist conducted under high supervision
- Conduct instrument set-up / adjustment and/or material preparation for testing
- Maintain instruments, tools, and work areas in a clean and orderly condition
- Operate computer or machine controls to start/stop tests. Monitor computer screen and/or instrument to verify proper operation
- Use tools including, but not limited to, pneumatic or manual punch press, hot knives, wire brushes, basic hand tools, picks and other instrument cleaning tools, weight scales and measuring devices
- Maintain effective communication with engineers throughout testing process, including documentation relative to test methods, observations, data / results, etc.
- May be required to handle hot (up to 350°C) items periodically
- Provide support to and/or work in other departments on an as needed basis. Training will be provided.
Education – Experience – Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED required. Associates degree in a technology related field preferred.
- 2 years of relevant experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams)
- Self-motivated, self-directed, good communication skills (written and oral), excellent teamwork skills
- Desire to accept new challenges and learn new tasks to grow professionally
