We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our logistics team. Duties
- Coordinate daily transportation operations by assigning routes and schedules to drivers.
- Monitor the movement of freight using GPS and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate effectively with drivers via phone, providing updates and addressing any issues that arise during transit.
- Analyze transportation data to identify trends, improve efficiency, and enhance service quality.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to streamline operations and improve fleet management processes.
- Utilize SyteLine software for managing logistics operations and reporting.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of transportation management principles and practices.
- Excellent phone etiquette for effective communication with drivers and clients.
- Proficient in analyzing data to make informed decisions regarding routing and scheduling.
- Ability to type efficiently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with GPS technology for tracking vehicle locations.
- Experience with SyteLine or similar logistics software is a plus.
- Understanding of freight operations and logistics management is essential.
