We're hiring a Marketing & Communications Manager who knows how to build — not just campaigns, but systems, structure, and strategy. You'll lead a growing function, manage one direct report (Creative Specialist), and own both internal and external communications. This is a chance to step into a pivotal role and make a visible impact from day one.
What You'll Own..
Internal Communications
- Develop, edit, and distribute newsletters, announcements, and leadership messages.
- Own and manage internal communication tools, including platforms like Mailchimp, to drive timely, company-wide engagement.
- Partner with HR on campaigns like employee engagement surveys, DEI, onboarding, and organizational updates.
- Support change management initiatives by developing communication strategies that clarify the who, what, when, how, and why.
- Create internal toolkits: talking points, collateral, presentation decks, and rollout guides.
- Maintain and regularly update the company intranet to reflect current initiatives, news, and resources.
Brand, Content & Storytelling
- Ensure all communication aligns with Alpha's brand standards and core values: Leading with Heart, Strength in Unity, Alpha Mentality.
- Collaborate with the Creative Specialist to produce compelling written, visual, and video content that tells the story of Alpha's people, projects, and purpose.
- Build reusable content libraries and templates for use across departments.
- Oversee the development of marketing collateral for recruiting, business development, and culture-building.
External Communications & Digital Presence
- Manage and update the Alpha Inc. website, ensuring brand consistency and timely updates on projects and milestones.
- Oversee social media platforms — especially LinkedIn — to maintain voice, elevate visibility, and promote key initiatives.
- Develop and maintain communications that reflect our impact in the community and in the industry.
Sponsorships, Events & Community Engagement
- Develop community relations strategies, including managing sponsorships, volunteer programs, and event presence (e.g., parades, community partnerships).
- Plan and execute internal and external events — from open houses and career fairs to community impact days.
- Coordinate with partners and internal stakeholders to deliver seamless event communications and storytelling before, during, and after.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Manage the Creative Specialist (Storyteller), ensuring alignment with strategy while fostering creativity and development.
- Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Executive Leadership to amplify initiatives and drive cultural cohesion.
- Build intake and approval workflows for marketing/communications requests, including merchandise
Who You Are..
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in marketing communications, internal communications, or a related role.
- Strong team player who can dabble in the excitement, fun, and candid nature of marketing.
- Ability to relate to their their target audience
- Expertise in internal communication tools and intranet management.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate across departments and with senior leaders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with community relations and volunteer programs is a plus.
- Familiarity with brand management and adherence to style guidelines.

Compensation: $90k-$110k per year, based on experience.
