Transitional Kindergarten Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Transitional Kindergarten Teacher to join our childcare team. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, fostering their social, emotional, and academic development. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess strong skills in behavior management, communication, and early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
• Educate students in foundational subjects such as math, language arts, and social studies.
• Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
• Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain an orderly classroom.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress with the Brightwheel app and classroom activities.
• Organize library services to promote literacy and encourage reading among students.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and participate in educational administration tasks as needed.
• Assess student performance through observation and formal assessments to tailor instruction to individual needs.

Requirements

• Experience working with students in a early childhood setting is highly desirable.
• Strong behavior management skills to effectively guide young learners.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of Math curriculum for early learners is an asset.
• A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that supports the development of the whole child.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
