Job Summary
The Home Health Aide (HHA)/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at AlphaCare Home Health provides compassionate, personalized care to patients in their homes. You will assist with daily activities, including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and mobility support, while ensuring patients' dignity and privacy are respected. Working closely with a healthcare team, you’ll help improve the quality of life for those receiving home health services, offering both physical and emotional support in a respectful and caring environment.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Must be a certified nursing assistant (CNA) with proof of certification
- Must have at least 1 year of experience
- Demonstrated compassion, responsibility, and a positive attitude
- Completion of one of the following: 1) Approved training and competency evaluation program; or 2) State-approved nurse aide training, listed in good standing on the state registry; or 3) State licensure program meeting competency requirements
Training and Competency Requirements
- At least 75 hours of training, with a minimum of 16 hours of classroom instruction followed by 16 hours of supervised practical training. Training covers communication skills, patient observation, infection control, personal care techniques (bathing, grooming, etc.), emergency procedures, and respecting patient privacy.
- Competency evaluation by a registered nurse or other professionals, including performance-based and written/oral assessments. Documentation must confirm all training and competency standards have been met.
Responsibilities
- Provide care according to the plan of care and RN instructions.
- Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, mobility, etc.).
- Perform household tasks to support patient care.
- Record clinical notes and vital signs accurately.
- Report patient concerns or abnormalities to the RN.
- Attend staff meetings and complete 12 hours of annual in-service training.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform additional assigned duties.

Pay Rate: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
