What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Printing Press Operator position at AlphaGraphics?
As a Digital Print Production Operator, you will be responsible for job setup and printing using our cut-sheet digital printers. You will be in charge of calibrating printers and color-matching projects against our client's Pantone colors / previous jobs. You will also manage the service and maintenance of the machines as needed.

- 8-hour shift - Monday to Friday - 10:30am - 7:30pm
- Responsible for operating digital commercial printers using Fiery Command Workstation.
- Responsible for imposing files for print
- Works with teammates to prioritize and manage daily job production
- Produces orders accurately, efficiently, and quickly while maintaining the highest quality standards
- Updates job status and location in MIS system
- Always runs a proof copy and compares it to the work order
- Controls waste and redos by quality-checking jobs as they are being produced
- Completes Quality Assurance documents for all printed jobs
- Tracks waste, spoilage, usage, and inventory for all digital printing machines
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment
- Performs all required maintenance and learns extended maintenance from the technician.
- Calibrates and manages all color devices as required to maintain color consistency.
- Monitors color consistency during all print runs and make adjustments as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned
- Digital printing experience required
- Ability to organize several activities and tasks concurrently.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime, if needed
- Ability to maximize profit through the efficient use of time and equipment
- Can perform basic bindery functions
- Familiar and comfortable with Fiery Print Controller
- Is proficient with the use of Command Workstation (if applicable) to control digital workflow
- Graphic design skills are a plus but not necessary
- Customer service experience is a plus but not necessary
