Summary
The Assistant Designer/TD works closely with the Fashion Design team, and design agents during the entire process of creating apparel and lifestyle garments for the Alphalete brand.

- Full-time, 40 hours a week (or more as needed)
- Schedule:
- Traditional office hours are Monday through Friday 9AM to 5PM or 6PM (depends on workout)
- In office, Monday through Thursday 9AM to 5PM or 6PM (depends on workout)
- WFH on Friday
- Missouri City, TX (Alphaland HQ). In office Mon-Friday
- Design Director –Women’s
- None
- BA, BFA or BS in Apparel Design with skills in Technical Design, Pattern Making, Product Development
- Experience with Men’s design
- Create and maintain design documentation, including technical drawings, color line plans, outfitting pages, Master list, etc.
- Responsible for prototype management, style number, and colorway creation
- Create and Maintain tracking and comments for each season on Monday.com
- Measure and review prototype samples based on tech packs and PLM standards
- Prepare and participate in fittings, take notes, communicate fit and construction comments, and design aesthetics changes with Agents/Factories
- Maintain data integrity in Backbone PLM as needed
- Prepare and participate in design presentations both internally and externally.
- Assist with fabric, trim and graphic/print development and comments.
- Create design packets for marketing, photoshoot, and Social Media teams to ensure design vision is communicated clearly for seasonal launches.
- Help create and manage seasonal color, including Lab dips
- Actively participates in seasonal inspiration research, communicates graphic briefs and formulates collection ideas.
- Creating names for styles and colors seasonally.
- Maintain online fabric and trim toolbox
- Other job duties as assigned by the Technical Fashion Designer.
- Create style descriptions for each collection.
- 2-3 years of experience in design and development, preferably in the athletic apparel industry. Men’s design experience is a plus
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office Mac platforms
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
