Description
Job Purpose: Provide emergency medical and non medical support with a dedicated system; stabilizing and transporting patients. Provide safe transportation with monitoring to various locations throughout Sacramento County and beyond.
Great Working Environment and Exciting Experiences Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain a high level of respect and customer service for patients, staff members, families, and fellow crew members. Prepares to transport patients by completing operator vehicle inspections, inventorying supplies, correcting deficiencies. Respond to emergencies/assignments by choosing route; observing traffic conditions; avoiding dangerous situations; maintaining communications with dispatch. Determine medical and safety requirements at scene by assessing medical status of ill or injured persons; assessing prevailing circumstances; calling for support. Stabilize ill or injured persons by rendering first aid; relaying status to medical personnel. Maintain order at emergency scene by controlling access; providing information to friends and relatives. Maintain safe and healthy conditions by following organization medical standards and legal regulations. Clear emergency scenes by transporting patients. Complete reports by entering required information.

Qualifications
Required education:
- High school or equivalent
Required licenses or certifications:
- State Paramedic Certification
- County Paramedic Certification (Obtained during training post-hiring)
- ACLS
- PALS
- PHTLS / ITLS
- CPR
- Ambulance Drivers certificate
- CDL with a clean driving record
- 7-year H6 DMV printout
- Medical Examiners Certificate (Dr. Johnson (916) 638-6787 if you do not have one yet)
- Copy of Social Security Card upon interview
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay Rate Breakdown for a Full-Time Paramedic:
- Starting Pay: $30.00-$31.38/hour (12-hour shifts) - Paramedic experience considered.
- Blended Pay: $35.00/hour (12-hour shifts) - This includes daily overtime rate.
- Starting Annual Salary for FT: $76k - $114k
*All above rates are based on a full-time position and shift structure; 12-hour shifts.
