The Company
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a noted, real-estate focused group with substantial AUM across its Public & Private markets portfolios. Over the coming 4-5 years, accelerated growth is planned across all lines of business with a dramatic uplift in AUM reinforced by the launch of new Funds and ongoing balance sheet investments.There is now a need to recruit a Finance Manager to be part of its growing team.
The Position
The Finance Manager will provide timely and accurate financial information and analysis to support decision-making across the organization. This role involves conducting financial planning and analysis, including variance analysis for monthly and quarterly reports, board papers, and other external reporting requirements. Additionally, they will prepare cashflow projections, quarterly forecasts, and annual budgets. There will be a need to review and challenge operational plans by evaluating the underlying drivers and assumptions during the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets. The Finance Manager will support business teams in evaluating potential investments and divestments, as well as business operations during acquisition and divestment processes. Collaboration with other finance functions is essential to ensure accounting and tax impacts are properly considered. Furthermore, the Finance Manager will work with JV partners on matters like dividend distributions, shareholder loans, and other financial and operational issues. Additionally, the Finance Manager will support the consolidation of forecasts and budgets.
The Person
Interested candidates should hold an Accountancy Degree and possess at least 10 years of experience in a similar role. Candidates with prior experience in fund management and investment companies will have an added advantage. To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, work independently, and be results-driven. In return, the company offers the flexibility of working from home one day per week.
