We are looking for an advisor’s advisor! This role is for someone who has sat in the seat of a financial advisor, serving clients, and wants to take that experience across the table to help other advisors succeed! As we continue executing on our next phase of growth, with a focus on delivering strategic consulting, advisor engagement and optimizing the breadth and depth of the Alphastar platform to accelerate our existing advisor’s organic growth and retention, we have an Advisor Growth Consultant opportunity for a highly skilled relationship management and/or consulting professional to join the Alphastar team. This role is located at our company headquarters in Cornelius, NC, a northern suburb of Charlotte in the highly desirable Lake Norman area.
YOUR ROLE:
We are seeking a highly motivated advisor, focused on relationship management and consulting to join our team and help us expand and retain existing advisor relationships. This role will report directly to our SVP of Sales and Relationship Management. In this advisor facing role, you will collaborate closely with the firm’s Leadership Team and all other functional areas (Sales/Marketing, Compliance, Trading & Investments and Operations) to deliver a world class advisor experience and optimize organic growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Lead and implement a value-added, consultative engagement strategy for our existing advisors to help them grow their books of business.
· Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the RIA, IBD and IAR models as well as key industry challenges and opportunities within these segments. Ability to understand and articulate how Alphastar’s wealth management and other platform capabilities solve these industry issues and capture these market opportunities.
· Innovate, and bring strategic solutions, driving engagement and incremental growth.
· Demonstrate in depth knowledge of sales process and experience supporting the recruitment/sales process.
· Cross organizational collaboration across various departments to identify and facilitate key resources and resolution of issues, drive adoption of key platform capabilities and optimize the overall advisor experience.
· Represent the Company at industry conferences, social events, and other client/prospect engagement opportunities to raise brand awareness and develop positioning of the firm with target audiences.
· Some travel may be required but not consistent.
REQUIREMENTS:
· 3-5 years of relationship management and/or consulting experience in the RIA/Wealth Management Industry preferred
· 5 years of client-facing Investment Advisor experience
· Securities License: 65, 66, or 7
· CFP or advanced designation preferred
· In-depth knowledge of the RIA and/or IAR models and economics as well as key industry challenges and opportunities within these segments.
· Knowledge of insurance and other commission-based solutions.
