What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extrusion Equipment Operator position at Alphia?
At Alphia, we are seeking a skilled Extrusion Equipment Operator to join our team. As an essential member of our production staff, you will be responsible for operating extrusion equipment, including but not limited to extruders, coating equipment, batching equipment, and meat processing equipment.
This includes operational setup, changeovers, starting/stopping of equipment, performing quality control checks and recording results, sanitation of equipment and processing areas. You will also be responsible for emptying finished product bins, may drive forklift or use pallet jack as required, handle raw ingredients, and perform basic operational maintenance on equipment.
To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of extrusion experience. Experience in pet food manufacturing or food manufacturing is strongly preferred. Additionally, you must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
