Job Description:
JOB PURPOSE:
Manage daily plant production, packaging and shipping in an efficient manner providing high quality products to our
customers. Ensure all equipment is maintained to ensure operating efficiency. Follow established training plans to ensure production team is properly trained for success. Provide effective leadership to maximize production while maintaining a high degree of employee satisfaction.
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Form, develop, and coach an Operating Team.
• Manage daily employee activities such as timekeeping, vacation, overtime, and employee attendance policies.
• Provide performance feedback to employees on a regular basis including performance reviews.
• Apply personnel practices that adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices standards (GMP).
• Utilizing Redzone, recognize downward performance trends and act on that data to improve performance.
• Gather data and execute a daily strategy, which maximizes product quality and productivity.
• Establish and monitor training goals.
• Work in concert with training coordinator, to manage training initiatives for staff members. Coach through training
guides for production and packaging equipment to include operation, operator maintenance, and trouble shooting.
• Ensure initial and recurring training is being accomplished and documented by working with training coordinator
and by following established training plans. Make recommendations for training initiatives.
• Troubleshoot production problems on a timely basis (may require climbing, bending, crawling, lifting to 100
pounds)
• Anticipate technical problems and (when appropriate) proactively troubleshoot and make technical adjustments
and/or notify Maintenance.
• Work with Maintenance to identify potential line improvements.
• Communicate with other departments to schedule sanitation or maintenance activities.
• Ensure inventory is scanned into and out of the computerized inventory system using hand-held scanners as required.
• Ensure required paperwork is completed accurately and completely.
• Knowledge and proficiency in Alphia Business Systems as required by Position.
• Ensure supplies are available for production or packaging.
• Maintain strategic alignment across all shifts.
• Keep management informed about team operations on a regular basis.
• Accountable for meeting or exceeding safety standards.
• Investigate all accidents occurring on assigned shift.
• Operate forklift (Alphia certification required).
• Responsible to follow established procedures to ensure that Alphia produces safe, quality food, meeting all
governmental regulations.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required).
- Education: high school diploma and/or GED require.
- Experience: Supervisory and leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, walk, and move from place to place. The employee must exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The position may require light lifting, walking within an industrial setting, maintaining concentration during meetings, teleconferencing, and sitting for extended periods of time, and travel by airplane, car or ride share as necessary.

The employee may be frequently exposed to allergens and/or airborne particles in the production area.
Production employees are exposed to temperatures ranging from 50 to 115 degrees, depending on the season and workstation, and may be working near moving mechanical parts. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions may occur.
The noise level in the work environment may be loud while production equipment is running.
Personal Protection Equipment (including, but not limited to, boots, gloves, safety glasses, and/or face shields) is required during various processes in the production area. Ear plugs and bump caps are required at all times in the production area.
Occasional extended work hours may be required. Moderate noise where PPE is required. The job is performed under a generally hazard free environment.
Position may also be eligible as “work from home” and must be able to sustain a highspeed stable internet connection. Home office must be secured from unauthorized visitors.
