What are the responsibilities and job description for the VMI Analyst position at Alphia?
The Vendor Managed Inventory Analyst will prepare customer sales forecasts, collect current finished good inventory, retrieve upcoming production schedule. to analyzes all finished good inventory for weekly customer coverage reports.
Research and evaluate current inventory positioning against customer forecasts to communicate any and all call outs for next steps as it relates to production scheduling, inventory levels & customer next steps to avoid any potential customer delays in PO’s or out of stocks. Responsible for the PSP retail inventory management to include submission, tracking, and revision of PO’s to Alphia. This position will be hybrid between remote and work at customer location.
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Compile and analyze reports that reflect current finished goods inventory positioning
- Analyze data and create reports to manage weeks of stock, identify potential shortages, customer actuals vs forecast
- Collecting, organizing, analyzing and reporting sales for new product launches
- Gathering, reviewing & analyzing retailers point of sales data
- Develop thorough understanding of the customer data available & additional customer platform resources
- Customer attainment reporting in addition to on-time & in full reporting metrics
- Identify & resolve inventory issues discovered during insights and reporting process
- Analyze multiple customer performance data sources & create monthly scorecards
- Assist with ad hoc analysis on various projects as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role
- Prior experience using a CRM system, strong Excel and Power BI user
- CPG industry experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills and team player mentality
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must possess excellent analytical abilities and keen attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Maintain a positive / can-do mentality along with a motivated and ambitious mind set
- Ability to work individually or in a team setting;
- Ability to work in a time sensitive environment with tight deadlines
