Our client is looking for a .NET / Splunk Developer. This position will assist staff with rewriting and support for the Archive Services application including modernization with Splunk technology and application functionality and critical security updates. At a high level, the resource will provide ongoing support, including functionality and critical security updates, and will also be required to assist in training on the integration of Splunk technology and other modernized technologies.
Tasks
Train Software Development team from Splunk basics to reporting, dashboards and events, search capabilities, APIs, creating Knowledge Objects, Data models, and other enterprise concepts with Splunk.
Collaborate with Software Development team to develop a Splunk solution to modernize the Archive Services application using Splunk
Work with planning managers, architects, business analysts, quality assurance analysts and agencies to define and transform business requirements into technical design and programming specifications conforming to the system architecture.
Implement enterprise solutions following established patterns in application development and data security.
Build, deploy and test software applications and modules using automated test and deployment technologies and tools.
Provide direction in identifying appropriate technical solutions (application and system level) that meets business objectives, which include defining technical alternatives to derive the most cost-effective solutions to meet client requirements.
Review test cases and test plans in conjunction with quality assurance staff.
Execute unit and integration testing procedures.
Strong communication skills sufficient to clearly communicate highly technical concepts, and to introduce new technological tools or methods.
Establish strong business partnerships with senior team members and with criminal justice and technical staff.
Provide Splunk training in all aspects of Splunk technology, and collaborate with software development team to develop a Splunk solution.
Provide knowledge transfer.
Skills Required
5 years - Experience developing Splunk applications, API, Dashboard, and logging.
7 years - Experience developing ASP .NET MVC applications with C#
5 years - Unit test experience (NUnit or JUnit)
7 years - Experience using HTML/CSS
7 years - Experience using JavaScript
5 years - Experience with CSS
Experience using Entity Framework
Experience writing T-SQL for MS SQL Server
Experience within an Agile Scrum development team
Experience in development of Windows Services using .NET 4.0 or above
Experience using XML schemas & XSLT
Experience using REST/SOAP web services
Experience using Web API
Experience with DevOps incorporating automation for CI/CD pipelines
Experience working with front-end JavaScript libraries, especially Bootstrap 4/5 and jQuery
Knowledge of Domain Driven Design concepts
