Alpin Haus is a premier outdoor recreation retailer, proudly serving customers with top-quality RVs, marine and powersports equipment, as well as ski and pool gear for over 60 years. Our mission is to help individuals and families embrace the great outdoors by providing expert guidance, exceptional products, and memorable customer experiences. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Camping Advisor to join our team.
Pay : $16-$18 / hour plus commission
Position Summary :
As a Camping Advisor, you play a key role in ensuring our customers begin their camping adventures fully prepared and excited. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive product show-throughs on the customer’s pickup day, promoting essential parts and accessories, following up with customers who did not purchase, and providing top-tier customer care in our store. Your work will not only enhance the immediate customer experience but also build long-term relationships, generating future sales and cultivating loyal, happy campers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Delivery Day Experience :
- Conduct detailed, hands-on demonstrations of new units on the day customers pick up their RVs.
- Show customers how to operate and maintain their unit’s features, ensuring they feel confident and comfortable before they leave.
- Sales of Essential Parts & Accessories :
- Recommend and sell essential camping accessories (e.g., hoses, leveling blocks, awning mats, kitchenware) tailored to each customer’s specific needs and camping style.
- Educate customers on how these products enhance their camping experiences and improve convenience, safety, and comfort.
- Ongoing Customer Relationship Management :
- Follow up with customers who did not purchase, offering additional information, answering questions, and addressing any hesitations or concerns.
- Maintain long-term relationships with past customers, periodically reaching out to see how they’re enjoying their RV, suggesting new products, and encouraging future visits.
- In-Store Support & Merchandising :
- When not occupied with unit deliveries or follow-ups, assist in stocking and maintaining shelves of camping gear, ensuring product displays are neat, organized, and fully replenished.
- Greet and assist walk-in customers, helping them locate parts, recommending accessories, and providing expert guidance on product selection.
- Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement :
- Work closely with sales, parts, and service teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Stay informed about new products, industry trends, and camping best practices to continually improve your recommendations and deliver greater value to customers.
