(Alpine) is a dynamic organization comprising 32 full-time staff and 10–20 seasonal employees where collaboration and relationships count. We are seeking our next Human Resources Manager to support our women-owned cultural resource management firm that meets the needs of our clients on a variety of projects in a 12-state region. This is a multi-faceted position where you will provide comprehensive employee support, manage the day-to-day tasks of recruitment and project crew scheduling, stay informed of changes in employment law, provide guidance on performance and policies within the leadership team, and more! Your work here will make a difference! Due to the highly interactive nature of this role, it is an in-office position working Monday–Friday, although some hybrid work is available.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Talent acquisition and onboarding for all full-time staff and seasonal crew positions
- Benefits administration to include new and updated enrollments, claims guidance, evaluating benefit renewal options, and communicating benefit information to employees
- Performance management process including regular feedback, guidance, conflict resolution, and annual reviews for all staff
- Staff development and employee engagement initiatives
- Injury reporting and workers’ compensation
- Compliance with federal and state employment laws
- Hire and schedule sufficient seasonal crew to complete field projects
- Work both independently and collaboratively, using sound professional judgment, to analyze and communicate solutions to meet the broad range of human resources needs within an organization
Qualifications
- High school diploma plus at least two years of focused human resources experience
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree plus four to 10 years’ human resources experience
- Excellent reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
