A dietary aide is responsible for:
Betterteam
- Guiding people according to their dietary requirements and their wish to lose or gain weight
- Helping prepare healthy food
- Helping with cleaning and maintaining kitchens and dining areas
- Delivering food to residents
- Taking and maintaining kitchen stock
- Preparing a healthy meal for a resident and being mindful of dietary restrictions, allergies and special concerns
- Working directly with or for a dietitian to create and administer specific diet plans
- Ensuring patients staying in a healthcare facility maintain a healthy diet
- Assisting in all aspects of food service assembly
- Ensuring all dishes adhere to a particular menu
- Maintaining health and sanitization standards
- Working with a trained dietician to determine and implement the dietary requirements for a group or individual patient
- Doing food preparation and menu planning
- Assisting in the kitchen with meal preparation, food serving, and cleanup
