What You'll Do:
- Create a Positive Learning Environment: Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure students stay engaged and motivated.
- Adapt and Lead: Be flexible in adjusting teaching methods to meet the needs of each student and manage a well-behaved classroom.
- Supervise Students: Provide supervision both inside and outside the classroom, including during lunch and recess.
- Collaborate: For long-term assignments, you’ll work closely with department heads to develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with the regular teacher's curriculum.
- Foster a Safe Environment: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times, maintaining a clean, respectful, and orderly environment.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements: At least an Associate's degree or 60 college credit hours. A Bachelor's degree or teacher certification is preferred but not required.
- Experience: Prior experience as a substitute teacher is a plus, but not necessary.
- Skills: Strong communication skills (verbal and written), excellent interpersonal abilities, and a genuine passion for working with students.
- Flexibility & Critical Thinking: Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and handle diverse situations.
- Commitment to Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
