What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grants and Project Coordinator position at ALPINE FIRE SAFE COUNCIL?
We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Program Manager to join our team at the Alpine Fire Safe Council.
The successful candidate will have experience in coordinating/managing fuels reduction projects, a working knowledge of the Calif. Environmental Quality Act, and familiarity with Eastern Alpine County and its Wildland Urban Interface communities.
This is a self-motivated, proactive leadership position that reports to a Board of Directors.
Responsibilities include:
- Researching and writing grants, managing project implementation, and record-keeping
- Working with the administrative employee/treasurer on budget management and finance
- Attending meetings and fostering relationships with other organizations
The successful applicant will be expected to assume this position June 1st. The position is as a 1099 miscellaneous employee with no benefits included.
Liability insurance is covered, and mileage compensation will be provided at the IRS rate.
Work will be done from home and in the field as necessary, using a personal vehicle and computer.
Hours are flexible and variable dependent on the requirements of our functions.
